Q. When did you receive your degree?
A. 1984

Q. Do you feel your degree adequately prepared you for your technology career?  Why or why not?
A. In some ways it did. it was certainly helpful but the on the job training was far more educational.

Q. How many years have you been in the visual communication field? 
A. All my life since i am the son of a photographer, but I've owned my business for 24 years.

Q. What personality traits and skills do you possess that you feel help you in the visual communication field?
A. Persistence and work ethic

Q. What steps does someone go through to get a job in this field?
A. Assisting and internships

Q. What is the most enjoyable thing about your job?
A. Working for myself

Q. What is the biggest challenge regarding your job?
A. Getting work

Q. What is the work environment like in the visual communication field?
A. I work ten hour days, 5 days a week.

Q. If you were a person getting ready to choose an IT major for college, what advice/guidance would you give them to help them decide between all the fields?
A. I'm sure there are careers that are better suited for some than others. I would spend time in an advertising agency to research all the different areas you can observe from there. It is a crossroads for most of the disciplines covered under "visual communications."

Q. If you could give me one quote about why you feel Information Technology is “THE” field to be in what would it be?
A. Information and the dissemination of it is the future.
